Barbara Lee White was born on December 25, 1939, to the union of Lee and Marion Baker, and passed peacefully at home, in Port Orchard, WA, June 2, 2023.
Barbara grew up in Inglewood, California, graduating from Morningside High School in 1958. Always a hard worker, she helped with the family business from the time she was 10 years old. On October 5, 1991, she met and married the love of her life, Robert White, and enjoyed loving and raising their five chosen children Mike, Cathi, Millie, Erik and Amee’.
Barbara was loving, loyal, dedicated woman, who gave the best hugs and could make you laugh until you cried. In her spirit to serve and love others, she made hundreds of baby blankets for Seattle Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald house, and every baby she knew. Always the Grand Master in her kitchen, she made countless banana and pumpkin breads for military personnel, single residents and elderly in her community. She loved baking for family and friends and shared this passion through cooking lessons with her grandchildren.
Barbara cherished friendships of the many women she met while participating in several McCormick Woods social groups and clubs.
Her bright light will shine on through our family and the many friends who’s lives she touched. She’s survived by her husband, Robert, five children, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her two sisters, Donna and Janice whom she loved dearly.
