Barbara Yandell

Barbara A. Yandell, 69, died at her home in Olalla, Washington on September 6, 2006. She was born in Blue Springs, Nebraska on June 8, 1937 to George & Sally Mobley. She graduated from Peninsula High School in Gig Harbor, Washington in 1955 and married Joseph A. Yandell, Sr. on November 9, 1957 in Olalla. He preceded her in death in 2003. Barbara was a wife and mother who also worked as a Dietary Manager in Seattle. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, Unit #30 in Port Orchard. She enjoyed her dog "Teddy", crafts, and volunteering at the Washington State Veterans Home in Retsil. Surviving are son Joseph A. (Theda) Yandell, Jr. of Kent, Washington; daughters Bonnie (Richard) Larson of Olalla and Sally Marquette of Port Orchard; sister Beverly (Jack) Eaton of Olalla; and grandchildren Jason Yandell, and James & Brandi Marquette. She was preceded in death by brother Bill Mobley. Visitation will be at Rill's Life Center in Port Orchard on Friday, September 8th from 3:00 to 5:00pm and Saturday, September 9th from 9:00am to Noon. Graveside service will be at 2:00pm on September 9, 2006 at Fraola Cemetery in Olalla.
