Belva Olson

Belva J. Olson, 80 of Port Orchard, Washington died at Life Care Center in Auburn, Washington on April 20, 2000. She was born December 25, 1919 in Whitewood, South Dakota to Alva & Cleona (O'Halloran) Shaul and was raised in South Dakota. Belva married Francis Olson on August 15, 1936 in Deadwood, South Dakota.Mrs. Olson lived in Shelton, Washington from 1949 to 1974. She was a Homemaker and worked at Mode O'Day clothing store in Shelton. Belva loved to dance and play bingo.Surviving are sons Jerry Olson of Milton, Washington, Dean Olson of Olympia, Washington, and Norman Olson of Port Orchard; daughter Diane Good of Renton, sisters Dessa Heider of Seattle and Dorothy Metzler of Union, Washington; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Belva was preceded in death by her son Michael in 1999.A Memorial Service will be held at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on Saturday, April 29, 2000 at 2:00 PM. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.
