Berdine Vlasta Johnson, 87, of Port Orchard, passed away on December 20, 2019 after a short illness. Berdine was born on October 6, 1932 in Lincoln, NE, to Rudolph and Vlasta Srb. She graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1950.
After her marriage in 1951 to Ken Johnson, the couple moved to several cities and towns in Nebraska, Iowa, and New Jersey while raising their family. Following Ken’s retirement in 1995, Berdine lived in Branson, MO, before making her home in Port Orchard in 2001.
Berdine enjoyed reading and was an avid golfer. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, kind spirit, and loving devotion to her family.
Berdine was married for 67 years to her husband Ken, who preceded her in death in 2018. She is survived by her son Steven and his wife Brenda of Port Orchard, her son Tracy and his wife Kristin of Chagrin Falls, OH, and six grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be conducted in Lincoln, NE.
