Bernard Caughey

Bernard J. Caughey died May 15, 2002 at Washington State Veterans Home at Retsil, Wa.He was born August 1, 1909 in Muskegon, MI. to Benjamin and Helen (LeTart) Caughey.He married Elaine M. Sagaser.Bernard attended high school in Muskegon area in Muskegon, MI., attended the University of Michigan at Lansing, MI., and graduated from the University of Santa Clara in Santa Clara, CA.He served in the U.S. Navy as a Boatsman's Mate 1st Class/CB's (Construction Battalion) and a member of 1st Special Naval Construction Battalion. He was a hospital administrator for 20+ years and retired in 1960.Bernard was a horseman and enjoyed boating and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.He is survived by son Gregory Caughey of Bremerton, WA.and one grand-daughter, Jennifer Caughey of Pleasanton, CA.Graveside services will be held in Los Gatos memorial Park, Los Gatos, CA., at 2:00 p.m on May 30, 2002.
