Bernard James Wernicke

Bernard James Wernicke passed away peacefully on August 7, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was 75.
He was born on September 22, 1942 in Dayton, OH. After graduating from Belmont high school at the age of 17, he convinced his mother to let him join the Navy and proudly served from 1960-1963 most of his time served on the USS Ticonderoga CVA-14. After his honorable discharge he was then employed by the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard where he retired as a general foreman in shop 56 after 30 years in 1993.
Bernie is survived by his son Steven (Kelly) daughter Shelly (Mark) son Kurt (Sara) son Chris and son Dominick and his grandchildren; Britney, Talisa, Drew, Ashley, Andrew, Cora, Zane, Will and Hailey.
He will be laid to rest at Sunset Lane Memorial Park. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
