Bernice "Bunny" Rasor of Port Orchard, Washington died June 19, 2005 at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Bremerton, Washington. She was 77. She was born April 2, 1928 in Seattle, Washington to Frank and Laura (Griggs) Larson. Bernice married Harold N. Rasor October 3, 1952 in Port Orchard, Washington. She graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington in 1946. Bernice worked 15 years as a Correction's Officer at the Kitsap County Jail and Purdy Women's Correction Facility. She retired in 1980. Prior to being a Correction Officer, she worked at Keyport Naval War Station. She was a member of Elim Lutheran Church, Kitsap Saddle Club, Little Britches Rodeo. Surviving are daughters Susan (Kyle) Witt of Port Orchard and Claudia (Kim) Baldwin of Bremerton; grandchildren K.C. Witt of Puyallup and Laura Nysoe of Maple Valley; great-grandchildren Kylee & Nathan Witt of Puyallup. She was preceded in death by husband Harold Rasor in 1977 and brother Frank Larson, Jr. A Memorial Service will be held at First Lutheran Church on Friday, June 24, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, Washington.
