Berniece Hendrickson

Berniece Hendrickson, 86, died at Ridgemont Terrace in Port Orchard, Washington on March 16, 2000.  She was born April 20, 1913 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada to Frederick & Ethel (Ladd) Clark.  The family moved to Seattle in 1920 where Berniece graduated from West Seattle High School in 1931.  She married Gordon V. Hendrickson on June 7, 1934 in Seattle.  They moved to Harper, Washington in 1939 where Berniece has resided for 61 years.  Gordon preceded her in death in 1988.Mrs. Hendrickson was a homemaker and mother.  She loved gardening, trailering, sewing, needlework, reading and her family.  Berniece attended Harper Evangelical Free Church and also belonged to Harper Southworth Mother's Club, Community Club, Garden Club, Dr. Allen Orthopedic Guild, and Trailer Roamers Club.Surviving are sons Allan of Harper and Dennis of Renton; daughters Lynne Hunsaker and Kristi Parker, both of Port Orchard; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by brothers Ross & Loren Clark, sister Dorothy Clark Heller, and 2 grandsons Nicholas & Ross Hendrickson.Memorial services will be at Harper Evangelical Free Church in Port Orchard on March 26, 2000 at 2:00 PM.  Memorial donations may be made to the Kitsap Regional Library's 'Talking Books Program'.
