Beryl Vernon Beall, 71, of Port Orchard died in his home after a long bout of asbestosis on March 6, 2007. He was born October 6, 1935 in Alfalfa, Oklahoma to Vernon and Delia Beall. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Daily City, California in 1953. He was a Veteran in the Korean War from 1954 to 1956. He married Shirley Newton on March 26, 1960. Beryl was a ship overhaul rigger for 30 years at Hunters Point and Puget Sound Naval Shipyards prior to his retirement in 1993. He then traveled the country with his wife, Shirley. Beryl enjoyed coaching youth sports when his children were young. He was an avid reader and liked to play golf. Beryl also liked fishing, bowling and hunting. During the spring and summer months he enjoyed barbecuing with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shirley, of Port Orchard; son Mark (Ginny) along with their sons Jeremiah and Daniel of Bremerton; son Kevin (Dana) and their daughters Brittany, Brandy, and Katie of Poulsbo; daughter Carrie Nelson (Lucky) and their children Kelsie, Chance, and Cori of Port Orchard; sisters Jean Van Santvliet(Hans) of Lacey, and Rosemary Newton (Jimmy) of Hanford, California, and his mother Delia of Lacey.
