Bessie Peters

Bessie I. Peters, age 78, died August 3, 1999 in Bremerton, WA.  She was born November 19, 1920 in Nemo, S.D. to George and Emma Mix.  She was raised in Cody, Wyoming.  Following a marriage proposal over an ironing board, Bessie married Walter W. Peters in Moses Lake, WA on November 20, 1943.  She worked with her husband on the family farm.  She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, baking cookies and gardening.  She is survived by her son Gene Peters of Portland, OR., daughters Judy Madewell of Moses Lake, WA., Linda Walkup of Moses Lake, WA., Tricia Crimmins of Albany Creek, Australia, Donna Hamar of Port Townsend, WA., Luanne Vail of Port Orchard, WA., sisters Mabel Darrah of Powell, WY., Margaret Saigeon, of La Pine, OR., Lorena Bailey, of Moses Lake, WA., Trudy Smith, of  Evanston, WY., grandchildren Chuck Kienholz of Monroe, WA., Kari Kienholz of Monroe, WA., Darrell Walkup of Moses Lake, WA., Lynette Ashworth of Moses Lake, WA., Kevin Walkup of Moses Lake, WA., Jannell Pardee of Moses Lake, WA., Joey Walkup of Moses Lake, WA., Tricia Ann Walkup of Moses Lake, WA., Rose Walkup of Moses Lake, WA., Christopher Madewell of Moses Lake, WA., Jolisa Darcy of Elk, WA., Peter Crimmins of Albany Creek, Australia, Nathan Hamar of Port Townsend, WA., Kasea Hamar of Port Townsend, WA., Michael Vail of Port Orchard, WA., Elizabeth Vail of Port Orchard, WA., LaVonne Cooper of Bremerton, WA., Kim Adams of Lynnwood, WA., and 13 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Walter W. Peters in 1983. Visitation will be August 9, from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, WA., and August 10, at Moses Lake Assembly of God from noon - 2:00 p.m. in Moses Lake, WA.  Funeral services will be held at Moses Lake Assembly of God Church at 2:00 pm on August 10, 1999 in Moses Lake, WA.  Memorial donations may be made to Benevolence Fund, Victory Chapel Church of God, 1255 Pottery Ave., Port Orchard, WA 98366.
