Bette Keefe

Bette J. Keefe, 70 of Port Orchard, Washington died on March 23, 2005 in Bremerton, Washington. She was born March 26, 1934 in Alley, Missouri to Charles & Velma (Dyer) Mahaney. Bette graduated from Prineville High School in Prineville, Oregon in 1952. She married James K. Keefe on September 25, 1954 in Portland, Oregon. She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion. Bette enjoyed playing cards, sewing, and traveling. Surviving are her husband, James Keefe of Port Orchard; son Thomas & wife Shannon Keefe of Spokane, Washington; daughters Becky & husband Stan Welch of Port Orchard, and Connie Keefe also of Port Orchard; brother Charles & wife Lavona of Moses Lake, Washington; sisters Billie Jean Yost of Mill City Oregon, and Mary Lou Weston of Prineville, Oregon; grandchildren Kristal Armacher, Christifer Shafer, Nicole Keefe, and Colin Keefe; and great-granddaughter Kalee Armacher. Funeral Mass is Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 12:00 Noon at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard. There will be a reception following the Mass. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard at 2:00 pm following the reception.
