Bette Louise Miller, 80, died at her home in Port Orchard, Washington on March 2, 2008. She was born April 14, 1927 in Ellensburg, Washington to Elmer & Zella (Smith) Gregory. She graduated from Weatherwax High School in Aberdeen, Washington in 1945. She married Laurence E. Miller on June 19, 1965 in Ellensburg. He preceded her in death in 1995. Bette was a homemaker who loved to sing and clown around. Her cats Topper and Susie preceded her in death. She was a member of 1st Christian Church in Ellensburg & Ladies American Auxiliary in Ellensburg, Bette was a 50 year member of Eastern Star, Grace Chapter, in Ellensburg & Tyee Chapter in Renton, and the Emblem Club in Burien, Washington. She belonged to several bowling leagues in SeaTac & Burien areas. Surviving are son Gregory (Kelley) Miller of Everett, Washington; daughter Pamela (Jun) Aromin of Port Orchard; brother Gene (Dorothy) Gregory of Renton, Washington; sisters Mary (Jerry) Hubbard of Ellensburg, Washington & Madelyn (Duanne) Carlson of Yakima, Washington; grandchildren Alyssa (Joshua) Eads of Dillon, Montana, Gabrielle Aromin of Port Orchard, Joshua & Jacey Miller of Everett, Washington; great-grandchildren Alexander Aromin of Port Orchard & Angelina Eads of Dillon, Montana; numerous nieces & nephews and a special bowling buddy for over 30 years, LaVerne Weber. She was preceded in death by 1st husband Charles Miller and brother Glenn Gregory. Visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 8th at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Funeral service at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Des Moines, Washington at 11:00am on Monday, March 10th. Burial at High Valley Cemetery in Ellensburg at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 11th followed by a reception at 1st Christian Church in Ellensbrug. A Memorial Service will be held at Park Vista Retirement Home in Port Orchard at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 12th. Donations to Hospice of Kitsap County or American Cancer Society.
