Betty J. Carlson died February 17, 2003 at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Bremerton, Washington. She was 74.She was born October 18, 1928 in Crystal, North Dakota to Roy and Gladys (Erickson) Corbit.She attended school at Bremerton High School.Betty was a home maker for 48 years.She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crosswork puzzles, crocheting, raising children and grandchildren.Betty is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Carlson; sons: Richard Dry (and wife, Laura) of Bremerton, Washington, Robert Carlson of Bremerton, Washington, and John Carlson (and wife, Georgia) of Port Orchard, Washington; daughter, Cynthia Hellenga of San Diego, California; brothers: Frank Corbit of Seattle, Washington, Ron Corbit (and wife, Dianne) of Gig Harbor, Washington; sisters: Gayle Corbit of Seattle, Washington, Cheri Harrigan of San Jose, California; Grandchildren (14): Rosemary, Becky, Rita, Roxanne, Jennifer, Nicole, Austin, Victoria, John, Joshua, Daryl, Sean, Richard, Pauline; Great-grandchildren (8): Rosa, Mary, Jenny, Michael, Jesse, Scott, Hailey, Shawn, Mark. Betty was preceded in death by brothers: Glen Corbit and Robert Corbit.Visitation will be held Saturday, February 22, 2003 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Rill Chapel of Port Orchard, Washington.A funeral service will also be held at Rill Chapel on Saturday, February 22, 2003 at 4:30 p.m. Memorial Donations may be made to:Charity of your choice.
