Betty Johnson

Betty Jean Johnson, 80 of Port Orchard, died in Bremerton on December 22, 2011. She was born August 27, 1931 in Tacoma to Theodore & Winiferd (Forrester) Prengel. She married Leslie Andrew Johnson, Jr. on June 14, 1952.   Betty worked for 16 years as a housekeeping supervisor at Ridgemont Terrace in Port Orchard, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Sweet Adeline’s for several years and enjoyed sewing, gardening, her home, and most of all family.   Surviving are husband Leslie; sons Jeff (Lori), Rick (Sue) & Tim (Kristi), all of Port Orchard; grandchildren Jolene, Lonnie, Nathan, Ricky, Kelli, Nick & Samantha; 5 great-grandchildren; twin sister Teddy Myers of Port Orchard; and brother Donnie Prengel of Tacoma. She was preceded in death by sister Millie Monteith & brother Jack Prengel.   Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Online memorial at www.rill.com . Private inurnment at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
