Betty Darlene (Blowers) Landman, 71, of Port Orchard, WA passed away peacefully in her sleep June 12, 2010, while a resident of Life Care Center of Port Orchard. Betty was born in Lansford, North Dakota on December 10, 1938 to Rollie and Mable Blowers. Betty who was the 8th out of 9 children came to live in Port Orchard with her parents. At around 12 years of age, Betty was fortunate to survive an accident in which she had been struck by a car while riding her bicycle. In the 50's, she then met Herbert “LEE” Landman and moved to California until they divorced in the 70’s. Betty tried her hand as a hair stylist, and then became a waitress where she met several friends that she still spoke with until her passing. She eventually found her self in office work after breaking her leg which left her unable to continue waitressing. In the 80’s she met her significant other, John Santagelo, and lived with him until he passed. Not too long after, she moved to Port Orchard to be closer to her sisters and brother. Betty was an easy going and fun loving spirit who always wanted to have a good time. She was a survivor who came through the tragic death of her infant son, her parents horrific deaths due to a car accident and the long illness of her love John. Through it all, she always had a smile and kind words for everyone she met. Her personality always bubbled out; she will be missed by many. She is survived by her children, Vicki Knight (Steven), Kent Landman (Debbie), Monica Bayat (Hossein) all of southern California; her three sisters, Dee Neal of Florida, Grace Stead (Darrell), Vivian Hooser, and her sister-in-law Rogene Blowers all of Port Orchard.
