Betty Laporte

Betty A. LaPorte, Age: 70, resident of Port Orchard, Washington died on October 22, 2001, at her home.Betty had been born on January 1, 1931 in Roseau, Minnesota to Ernest and Ida (Lohre) Johnson. The family later moved to Port Orchard, where Betty graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1950.On June 30, 1978, Betty married Doug LaPorte in Port Orchard. She elected to become a Homemaker and Mother. She truly enjoyed gardening and RV camping.Betty is survived by her husband, Doug, of the family home; three sons, Steven LeFave and Stanley LeFave of Port Orchard; and Larry LeFave of Anacortes, Washington; a sister, Darlene Knutson of Anacortes; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 a.m., until 1:00 p.m., at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, on Thursday, 10-25-2001. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Rill Chapel. Burial is scheduled at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard. A reception will follow at the family residence.Funeral arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.
