Bettye Sorensen

Bettye L. Sorensen of Port Orchard, Washington died December 22, 2004. She was 80. She was born August 1, 1924 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Clyde T. and Alverda M. (Parker) Paris. Bettye married Wes Sorensen. She graduated from high school at Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1942. Bettye was a military wife and homemaker. She worked as a secretary for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, Bremerton Seniors Groups, darts; and, was very proud of the "Red Hat Society" as a member. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Bremerton. Bettye is survived by son - David Sorensen (& companion, Kris) of Oregon; daughter - Dixie Johnson; 2 grandchildren (John Alleman and Erin Sorensen); 2 great-grandchildren. No service has been planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
