Beverly Tackett

Beverly Janet (Bowden) Tackett December 29, 1930 - August 15, 2006 Beverly Janet Tackett 75, of Port Orchard, died Tuesday August 15, 2006 at Clare Bridge, Shoreline View, in Gig Harbor of heart failure. She was born to Keble and Glenna Bowden of Seattle, Washington. Mrs. Tackett was a housewife who after raising 4 children, earned her Bachelors Degree in Music from the University of California, Fullerton in 1985 at the age of 54. She enjoyed playing the piano and knitting. She raised her family in La Mirada, CA, where she resided until her husband's death in 1998. She became one of the first residents of Stafford Suites in Port Orchard. At the time of her passing she was a resident of Clare Bridge - Shoreline View in Gig Harbor. She was preceded in death by a brother Allen Bowden, her husband Lonnie Tackett, a daughter Terri (Tackett) Ricord and son Michael Tackett. She is survived by daughters Jeannie Ogonowsky (Brian) of Los Altos, CA and Carolyn Keaton (Mike) of Port Orchard; daughter in Law Mari Tackett (Michael) Highland, CA; grandchildren Allison Keaton of Port Orchard, Tawnie Keaton Ploe (Tim) Colorado Springs, CO, Alexie Ogonowsky of Los Altos, CA and Katelin and Grant Tackett of Highland, CA; friends and staff at Stafford Suites and Clare Bridge - Shoreline. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday September 8, 2006 at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, WA.
