Bonnie Lee Grable died in the early morning hours of June 1, 2018 in Bremerton, Washington. Bonnie was born in Portland, Oregon to Jack and Betty Grable. She moved to Port Orchard at the age of 12 with her twin sister Betty and siblings Jackie, Billie, Gary, Lary, and Lori. She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1966 and spent her life living in Kitsap County.
Bonnie was a talented artist, decorator, and seamstress. She enjoyed working on remodeling and redecorating projects and filled her home with beauty. She worked in various office administration positions and eventually retired from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard after serving as an Environmental Coordinator. She enjoyed traveling and exploring with her high school friend, Linda Papineau, researching genealogy, attending her grandsons’ sporting events, and proudly raving about the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She was kind and generous with an infectious laugh and smile.
Bonnie is survived by her four daughters: Amy Olson, Kelly Olson, Shayna Wilson (Rick), and Carissa Abbott (Shane). After raising 4 daughters, she delighted in the company of 9 grandchildren: Dustin Germaine, Dylan Germaine, Jacob Abbott, Jared Brown, Cameron Brown, Logan Chmielowski, Stephanie Wilson, Brittany Wilson, and Cassidy Wilson. Her spirit will watch over her first great-grandchild, due in October. She leaves behind her beloved rescue dog, Maxwell.
There will be a Celebration of Life to share stories and honor an amazing woman. Please join the family at Adventure of Faith Church at 4705 Jackson Ave. S.E. in Port Orchard on Saturday, June 9, at 3:00 p.m. This is a potluck event.
