Born to John and Zola Personett on April 3, 1931 in Lenora, Kansas and she died January 19, 2021 in Port Orchard.
The family homesteaded in Gillette, Wyoming before moving to Sunnyslope, Washington in 1936 where the family was raised. Bonnie attended school in Port Orchard and graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1949. This is where she met her future husband Tommy Pritchard. They were married on Nov 24, 1950 and made their home in Port Orchard with their son Michael and daughter Linda (Mullins).
Bonnie held various jobs including at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, staying home to raise her kids until they started school and then for South Kitsap School District at Pleasant Valley Elementary in the library and Manchester Elementary as Secretary retiring in 1993.
Bonnie loved to sew and crochet hats and scarfs for family and friends. She donated many to the homeless shelters. She always crocheted while watching the tides rolling in and out at the Ocean, Mariners, Seahawks and NASCAR. She loved the slot machines and was kidded about how she could eat her weight in Dungeness crab at the buffets. She made the best Bread-NButter Pickles, Pickled Green Beans and always made sure to have cookies and brownies for everyone. She even made special batches of cookies without nuts and raisins so everyone had what they liked. Bonnie never needed to buy a cat, they all just showed up at her house and she gave them a home. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed puttering in her flowers. She loved her family and (friends she made family) and will be missed by many.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Tommy, both her parents, sisters Verla Mae Personett and Velma Jane Fink and brother Mel Personett. She is survived by son Michael (Karen) Pritchard, daughter Linda (Tim) Mullins, Grandchildren John Mullins, Joshua Pritchard, Matthew (Loretta) Pritchard, Andrew (Alison) Pritchard, Kailey (Derek) Pritchard, Great-Grandchildren Aubrey & Asher Pritchard.
In accordance with Bonnie’s wishes and in lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
Private services will be held.
