Bruce O. Armstrong was born March 29, 1921 in Seattle Washington.
He attended Roosevelt High followed by the University of Washington where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 1949. He later became a C.P.A and opened the first accounting service in Silverdale.
He served in the army during World War II and specialized in communications while stationed in Alaska.
He was passionate about classic cars and owned many over the years, most notably a 1934 Packard Coupe Super 8 that won a grand prize at the Pebble Beach car show. He was a charter member of the OVAC car club which was founded in the 50s in Kitsap County.
He was also a charter member of the Silverdale Rotary Club as well as a member of the Central Kitsap Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of over 67 years, Betty. 2 Daughters, Janet & Gayle. 3 grandsons, Alex Armstrong (Chelsea), Christopher and Trevor Armstrong (Kristin), 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life and reception will be held at Central Kitsap Presbyterian Church in Silverdale on Thursday, November 19th at 2 PM. A private burial ceremony with military honors will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery.
