Carl Mason Greene, 77, of Port Orchard, Washington died of cancer on August 19, 2021 at his residence. Carl was born on February 7, 1944 in Hannibal Missouri to Mellen Seabury and Frances Louise (Mason) Greene. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and attended W.B. Ray High School graduating in 1962.
In 1962 Carl joined the US Air Force, serving until 1966 as a Fuel Systems Mechanic. After discharge he attended Del Mar Technical Institute, graduating in 1968. Carl worked for Boeing as an Aircraft mechanic and worked there on the first Boeing 747. He also worked at General Dynamics as an Aircraft Electrician. He was most recently employed as a civilian at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Keyport as a torpedo MK48 supervisor and retired as a safety inspector. He worked at Keyport for 18 years until his retirement in 1996.
Carl married Kelly Conner in May of 1976 at South Padre Island in Texas. They divorced in 1987. They have a son, Matthew Greene of Port Orchard.
Carl enjoyed model airplane building, weapons collecting, collected Scotch bottles and was an avid reader. He also served as an Assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scouts, was a member of the NRA and also was a member of First Christian Church in Port Orchard.
