Carl L. Sprenkel, 55, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton on May 1, 1999. He was born July 11, 1943 to Henry W. Sprenkel and Marie E. (Tiedge) Morse in South Bend, Indiana and moved to southern California at age 14. Carl married Donna M. Boyster on March 17, 1967 in Arleta, California.Mr. Sprenkel served in the U. S. Army in Alaska from 1967 to 1970 as a Communications Specialist. Most recently, he worked as a Marine Electrician for 17 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton. He was a member of the Western Washington Mining Association and Kitsap County Ham Radio Club.Surviving are his wife; daughter Janelle Fitzpatrick of Port Orchard; brother Richard Sprenkel of Chico, California; sisters Ann Wilson of Panama City, Florida, Ruth Thompson of Clovis, California, and Marion Christianson of Redmond, Washington; and grandchildren Tasha & Zackery Fitzpatrick of Port Orchard. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother, Dowayne Sprenkel.Visitation Tuesday May 4th from noon to 5pm and Wednesday May 5th from 9am to 1pm.
