Carol Ann Bauman, 82, of Bremerton WA, was called home to be with Jesus on December 4th, 2022 at St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale WA.
Carol was born March 13th, 1940 in McMinnville Oregon to Charles and Mildred (Roseman) Ferguson. In her early years, Carol lived on the family farm located on Grand Island, later moving to West Salem. Carol graduated from Salem Academy High School in 1958. On October 4, 1963 she married Glenn Bauman and they moved to Bremerton WA, eventually settling in Port Orchard where they raised their family. Carol was a homemaker and worked part-time modeling and in retail. She was an expert seamstress and eventually worked for Bremers Department store doing alterations. When the store was closed, she went on to work in banking. It was at this time she learned she would need a kidney transplant due to a hereditary kidney disease. She was fortunate to receive a kidney and had a successful transplant that lasted more than 30 years. She spent her time gardening, sewing, quilting and crafting. She was also an active member of the Bremerton Nazarene church, singing in the choir, working as the church wedding coordinator and decorator. She also enjoyed RVing with her husband Glenn, traveling around the western US and wintering in Arizona.
Carol was preceded in death by her father Charles Ferguson, her mother Mildred (Roseman) Ferguson, her sister Nellie (Ferguson) Mondell, and her daughter Diana (Bauman) Taylor.
Carol is survived by her sister Muriel Richardson of Roseburg OR., sister Carolyn Scott and husband Jim of Salem OR, son Jeff Dunton and wife Andrea of Dallas OR, daughter Debra (Bauman) Newberry and husband John of Weiser ID, and son Chuck Bauman and wife Shannon of Southworth WA.
Grandchildren Alex (Bryn) Bauman, Seabeck, Maranda (PJ) Thielke, Lansing MI, Heather Dunton of Dallas OR, Ivy Dunton of Dallas OR, Aubrey Westlund, Boise ID, Justin (Shanna) Webb, Boise ID, Austin Webb, Boise ID, “Chas” Charles (Lucinda) Bauman, London UK, Rachel (Chase) Roebecker, Bozeman MT and Great-Grandchildren Alex Jr., Eleanor. Lou, Eilish, Carter, Kennedy, and two more on the way. She also had numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 Saturday, March 4th, at the LifePoint Church of the Nazarene 924 Sheridan Rd, Bremerton.
