Carol Ness

Carol A. Ness, 56, of Bellingham died of cancer on January 24, 2001 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 31, 1944, in Seattle to Loyn and Ena Ness. She graduated from Auburn Academy in 1963. She was employed by Arco Marine and Polar Tanker, and had for the past 14 years sailed with them. She loved to travel and her unusual career choice gave her added opportunities.Carol was an avid outdoorswoman, power walking, kayak, and most recently training in the hope of riding her bike across Iowa.Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Ena and Bowman Rouse of Lynden, Washington. Her son, Ty Ness (Vicky) of Reno, Nevada; her brother Morley Ness (Celyne) of Fullerton, California; her sister Willa Werner (Neil) of Allyn; her grandchildren, Peter Taylor and Cade of Reno, Nevada; nephew, Joe Ness of Fullerton, California; nieces, Carolyn Beeler (Gary) and sons, Mindy Werner and Fiancee Brooks Martin, Sonal Werner, Judy Chelemedes and daughter. As well as six step brothers and sisters.
