Carra Cinnamon Strange

October 17, 1975 — July 13, 2013

Carra Strange, loving mother, daughter passed away on July 13, 2013 in Tacoma, Washington. Carra was born in Lakewood, Washington on October 17, 1975 to Sharlee Carden and Jon Strange.

Cara had a smile that would brighten anybody’s day. Learning came easy to her and was something she loved. She enjoyed reading and writing stories. Carra had many interests including clothing design, singing, the law, gardening, growing house plants, decorating and more.

Carra met her life partner Dave Gregoire while they were both working in a call center in 1992. Dave would always talk about “this beautiful girl with dimples and a great smile.” That was the beginning of their twenty one years together. They had two children, Kyle 15 and Derek 9, who were the center of her life. When Kyle and Derek were younger, she watched those repetitious TV learning shows or cartoons with both of them to where she probably knew most of the characters’ lines. As the children grew older, if anyone dropped by their home, they would most likely find Carra in the kitchen either cleaning or fixing something for her guys.

Carra is survived by her life partner David Gregoire; children Kyle Gregoire and Derek Gregoire; mothers Sharlee Carden and Mary Teague; father Jon Strange; and siblings Neil Strange and Bryan Strange.
