Carrie Beard

Carrie Mae Beard June 30, 1928 - May 17, 2004 Carrie Mae Beard, 75, a 33 year Kitsap County resident, passed away peacefully from a long term illness on May 17, 2004. Carrie was a retired seamstress at Retsil Veterans Home. She was born June 30, 1928 in Kentucky to Frank and Cora Moore. She moved to Ohio State with her family where she met her husband Robert William Beard Jr. who retired from the Washington State Tacoma Narrows Bridge. They were married in Ohio on June 30, 1973 and moved to Bremerton Washington the same year, with their 4 younger children (Coralee Young, Barbra Todd, John Alexander, Kelly Towart). Her three elder children still reside in Ohio, they are: David Alexander, Mary Murphy, Sharon Rhodes. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jean Alexander. Carrie has an array of relatives and friends that she has left behind. They will never forget this very wonderful woman. She will be missed very much by all those who have had the chance to know and love her. We will always love and miss her. May God love and cherish her as we do. At Carrie's request, the family will hold a Memorial Service at the Ho River Campground at a later date - as she and her husband, Bob, loved to go camping there. Carrie was also an active member in the Late Great Chevy Car Club - Bremerton Chapter.
