Carter Harris

Carter “Ed” Harris, 65, a resident of Port Orchard,  died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Harrison Medical Center.  He was born March 19, 1943 in Niland, California. He married Judy McGraw on June 19, 1962 in Brawley, California. He was employed at K2 as a molder from 1978 to 2000. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marie and by his parents, Carter and Mildred Harris. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy; children, Mona Mainwaring, Laree Harris, Debra, David and Michael Hoffman all of Port Orchard, three grandchildren, Trisha, Chet Jr. and Amanda, and his great grandchild, Haley.  He is also survived by his brother Ronald of Port Orchard, his sister Sandra Ray of Brawley, California, and his sister Susan Bunts of Port Orchard.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as his brothers-in-law Robert McGraw of Port Orchard and Charles McGraw of Wyoming, and his sister-in-law, June Robertson of Idaho. Celebration of Carter's life will by held at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 10:00 am with Interment immediatley following at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
