Cecelia Lewis Untalan Akana, formerly of Dededo, Guam and now of Port Orchard, Washington was called to her New Life on September 1, 2007. She was born in Kolonia, Yap Islands F.S.M., where she and her family survived the turmoil of the War in the Pacific. During the Japanese ruling of Yap, she became affluent in the Japanese culture and language along with Chamorro & English. As a result of her experience, her lifelong passions were Japanese art, dancing, music & creative cooking. Cecelia was known as a gentle & compassionate woman who loved the Lord, her family & friends. Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband, Henry in 2006. She is survived by her children & their spouses Ed & Karen, Rik & Ana, Frances, Helen, John & Flo, Vicky & Rommel, Priscilla & Pius, Thelma & Akira, Jacob & Virginia; siblings & spouses Antonio & Heidi, Virginia & Ignacio, Luis & Lourdes, Francisco & Marcia, Felicia, Baltazar & Terry, Lou & Mike; 29 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren & numerous uncles, aunts & cousins. A family viewing will be held on Monday, September 10, 2007 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Last Respects for Cecelia will begin at 9:00 am on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at Saint Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard. Mass of a Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am followed by interment at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
