Chance was preceded in death by his mother Fern Petronave and his brother Chad Petronave.

Throughout his life, Chance was a source of joy and laughter. He was always there to lend a hand with a smile. His open and outgoing nature would often have him at the center of fun times. He loved gaming and artistic endeavors, and discovered a love for skydiving later in his life. He had a unique way of making the people around him feel special and loved. His greatest joy was spending time with his son, August and his partner, Caitlin. The love and devotion he showed as a father exemplified his best attributes.
