Chariessa Stichick

Chariessa M. Stichick, 64 of Port Orchard, died in Bremerton on September 15, 2012.  She was born April 6, 1948 in Warren, OH to Emil & Virginia (Obletiloff) Malacky.  She graduated from Hiram College in Ohio in 1970 with a degree in Elementary Education and married Nicholas Stichick on August 20, 1978 in Warren, OH.  Chariessa was a teacher for 37 years and taught school in Warren OH, Kodiak AK, and in Montessori Schools in Tacoma, Gig Harbor & Port Orchard, retiring in 2005.  She also taught Russian Dance at St. Spiridon’s Orthodox Church in Seattle and was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Orthodox Church in Poulsbo.  She enjoyed the ballet, shows and musicals. Surviving are husband Nicholas; brothers Gregory & Mark (Ellen) Malacky, both of Warren OH; sisters Debra (Father Steven) Belonick of Yonkers NY & Mary (Rev. Alan) Bergeron of Jackson Hole WY; nephews Daniel & Paul Belonik, Thomas & Joseph Malacky and Andrew Bergeron; niece Susanna Malacky. Panikhida Service at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 20th  and Funeral Service at 10:00 am on Friday September 21, 2012, both at St. Elizabeth Orthodox Church in Poulsbo.  Memorial donations to St. Elizabeth Orthodox Church, 26580 Breidablik Place, Poulsbo WA 98370 or Bremerton Salvation Army, PO Box 886, Bremerton WA 98337.
