Charles Milton Janes, 85, died in Port Orchard on April 13, 2014. He was born in DeQueen, AR on April 19, 1928 to Charles & Mildred Janes. He graduated from South Kitsap High in 1947 and married Dorothy Hopkins on October 31, 1948 in Sentinel, OK.
Charles worked as a Life Insurance Agent for Prudential Insurance for 38 years, retiring in 1988. He was baptized into the Church of Christ in 1955 and attended church in Port Orchard. He loved going camping in their travel trailer, going to the ocean and spending time with his family.
He is survived by wife Dorothy of 65 years, daughters Deanna (Dale) Erstad, their daughters, Angela & Shannon Erstad and grandson Nikoli Roksandich, Patti (Mike) Roush and sons Justin, Abraham (Jennifer), Brandon and grandchildren Kayla, Makiah, Lukas, Naomi, Landon & Paige, granddaughters Brooke (Bryan) Burnett & Jodi Roush (daughters of Brenda), sister Mildred (Jack) Hildebrand and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by daughter Brenda Roush, sisters Fern Hamilton & Carolyn Battin and parents Charles & Mildred Janes.
Funeral Service at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 19,2014 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Online memorial at www.rill.com
