Charles Keller

Charles E. "Buzz" Keller, 90, died at his home in Port Orchard, Washington on November 3, 2006. He was born February 27, 1916 in Dawson County, Montana to Edward & Johanna (Timmerscheidt) Keller. He graduated in 1934 from Rock Springs High School in Rock Springs, Wyoming where he also married Betsy Imogene Bohn on July 14, 1940. She preceded him in death in 1997. Buzz worked as a Switchman for the Union Pacific Railroad in Green River, Wyoming for 36 years, retiring in 1976. He enjoyed photography, woodworking and traveling. Buzz was a lifetime member of Oddfellows in Rock Springs and a member of the Congregational Church of Rock Springs. Surviving are his sons John (Royce) Keller of Newcastle, Wyoming and Richard (Vicki) Keller of Port Orchard; daughter Loretta (Jerry) Patrick of Bremerton; sister Barbara (Earl) Swanson of Denver, Colorado; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Barbara Keller in 1959 and his brother Earl "Bud" Keller in 1981. Graveside service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 10, 2006 the municipal cemetery in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
