Charles “Chuck” Warren Tufts passed away March 29, 2025, after a courageous fight against cancer and HLH. He was born in Bremerton Washington on June 26, 1957, to Warren and Berneda (Ramey) Tufts, Jr. He was part of a large family which included seven siblings. He lived in the Bremerton area until moving to Oregon in 2001 after meeting his love Rebecca “Becky” Collins (Gulleff). They married on August 16, 2003, and moved back to Washington in 2004, settling in Lakewood. He earned a bachelor's degree in information technology in 2005 and went on to have a successful career with Kelly Services at Intel. Chuck had an amazing love of the outdoors, especially the mountains, and loved the Tufts’ family trips to Yellowstone. It was where he was the happiest. He also loved taking daily walks in the woods with his “princess” Dory, their Labrador retriever.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Becky, siblings Barbara Buettgenbach (Steve), Beth Tufts-Rich, Carolyn Core, Robert Tufts (Celeste), Dolores Tufts, David Tufts, Paul Tufts (Bonnie). Stepsons Michael Wagner and Pat Collins Jr., grandson Jayden Wagner, nephews Jacob Core, Hayden, Ethan, Drew (Ronnie), and Eric Tufts, nieces Autumn Denesha, Colleen, and Madison Tufts, and great nieces Paisley and McKenzie Denesha.
Graveside service will be held on April 14, 2025, 11:30 am, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5409 Kitsap Way in Bremerton, WA, with a celebration of life to follow at Paul and Bonnie’s home. Casual dress preferred (Chuck’s wish).
