Chauncey F. Arnold died May 11, 2003 at his Bremerton, Washington residence. He was 91.He was born January 30, 1912 in Great Falls, Montana to Roy L. and Lila (Victor) Arnold.He married Edith (Saunders) Arnold - his high school sweetheart - August 31, 1932 in Port Orchard, Washington.He graduated from South Kitsap Sr. High School in Port Orchard, Washington in 1934 (went back after marriage).He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He achieved rank of machinist mate on troop carrier in the South Pacific.He worked as postmaster of the Silverdale, Washington Post Office for 22 years - retiring in 1974. He worked various other jobs including owning a Standard Oil Gas Station and driving a lumber truck.He was a member of Rotary of Silverdale; enjoyed gardening, farming, tennis, golf, handball and travel.He was a member of the Silverdale United Methodist Church. Chauncey is survived by his daughters - Katherine A. Banks, of San Diego, California and Chris Wilson of Port Orchard, Washington; 2 grandchildren: Julie Uebel (& husband, Scott) of Port Orchard, Washington & Junell Krueger of Colorado; 6 great-grandchildren: Ashley, Eric, Ryan & Conor Uebel of Port Orchard, Washington; Jarrad and Logan Krueger of Colorado. A Celebration of Life Open House will be held at Moore Adult Family Home in Bremerton, Washington on May 17, 2003 from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m.
