Christopher Warren Sharp

November 2, 1989 — December 12, 2023

On Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 9:39 p.m., The Lord looked down from Heaven and called Christopher Warren Sharp home. He had just turned 34 years old.

He was at St. Michael Hospital ICU in Silverdale, WA. After suffering many hospitalizations from a congenital rare breathing disorder, Mounier-Kuhn Syndrome.

His mother, father, and older brother were with him at his bedside.

Earlier that day, he had a visit from five of his many close friends, they turned their tears into laughter when reminiscing about their lifelong friendship, mischief, playing soccer, wrestling and most memorable, Christopher's high school senior year homecoming; streaking across the football field, wearing only his beloved NINJA mask and shoes. The room was filled with joyful noise, laughter...beautiful indeed...

As a little boy, Christopher really believed he could fly and often used his mom as a landing pad, once from the top of the stairs, ouch! He was also a NINJA for life.

He was fun, caring, mischievous, committed to his schooling, music, sports, and flying planes, most of all he loved his family and his big brother Enrique. Often after wrestling practice, he would greet mom by picking her up and spinning her around the kitchen. I told you he was fun...

During high school he attended Fly School in Bremerton and Olympic College simultaneously. Also embracing his piano playing, some saxophone, acoustic guitar and what became the love of his life, his bass guitar. His 2024 goal was to teach himself to play the Chinese Guzheng, just as he did his guitars.

After high school, he attended WWU, Bellingham for a while, but he was restless for adventure. His free spirit took him to Hawaii where he fell in love with a Shiny Triumph Thruxton motorcycle. Embracing his thrifty, travel light philosophy, he explored the island for two years.

The China Adventure tickled his fancy and there, he freelanced teaching children the English language while training on all aspects of Mandarin himself. He was in love with the Chinese people and had the utmost respect for them, he traveled extensively, making friends everywhere he went.

He attended Sichuan University, Shenshen University and Chengdu University pursuing his Mandarin goal.

Once he began to feel sick, he ventured home, but soon after took off to explore the U.S.A. He finally settled in Nevada for these last three years, and finally, traveling with his parents, came back to his childhood home, where, unbeknownst to us all, he would spend the remaining eighteen and a half weeks of his life.

Christopher is survived by his mother, Gloria E. Sharp (Oliveras) and father Cecil K. Sharp Jr; brother John Paul Sharp; half siblings, Enrique R. Jimenez (whom he loved dearly), Mathew Sharp, Rachel Sharp and his young niece Charleigh Sharp.

Christopher was baptized, received first confession, communion, and last rites by Father Dennis Sevilla, former pastor at St. Gabriel Church.

Christopher's big brown eyes, soft laughter and demeanor, sweet and considerate ways, his zest for life will all be deeply missed.

The Sharp family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Michael's Hospital, Silverdale, WA for their kind, diligent, gentle and sophisticated care to our dear Christopher. We will forever be grateful. Blessings.
