Clarabelle Hower

Mrs. Clarabelle Hower, Age: 86, long time resident of Port Orchard, Washington, died on June 27th, 2001 of complications from a stroke.Mrs. Hower was born in Wilkesboro, North Carolina on April 4, 1915 to Edward Franklin Roberts and Etta Beatrice Higgins. She married Theron Aten Hower on June 12, 1936 in Port Orchard, Washington. Mr. Hower died in 1976.Mrs.Hower was a Homemaker. The couple had one son, Charles Hower of Southworth, Washington; and one daughter, Juanita Stoner of Tempe, Arizona; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters.A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2001, 2 p.m., at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. Pastor Larry Mead will be officiating.Inurnment will be at Sedgwick Cemetery, Port Orchard, Washington.In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 4414 Woodland Park Ave., N., Seattle, WA 98103.
