Clement Pottorff

Clement Clinton Pottorff, 91, formerly of Port Orchard, died March 16, 2010 at Hallmark Manor in Federal Way. Clement was born January 19, 1919 in Crawford County, KS to Gilbert and MyrtleMay (Alexander) Pottorff. He married his first wife Leota on June 2, 1942 after growing up across the street from her during their childhood. She preceded him in death in 1990. He married his second wife Maxine in 1995 and she preceded him in 2002. In his younger years Clement worked for the Civilian Conservation Corp building roads and bridges. He then spent 48 years working as a machinist for McDonnell Douglas in Tulsa, OK and PSNS in Bremerton.  Clement was an avid union member, bowler, and huge Mariner fan. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Erica Lynn Cates. Survivors include son Mark Pottorff, of Tacoma; daughter Ruth Bourne, of Port Orchard; brother Gilbert Pottorff, Jr; grandchildren Joseph Pottorff, Curtis Pottorff, Terrance Pottorff, Tennisha Bourne, and Dominique Bourne; and great grandchildren Kayden Bourne and Kiana Robinson. Services will be 1PM, Tuesday, March 30 at Christian Life Center in Port Orchard. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
