Clyde Bell

Clyde Bell, Jr. of Port Orchard, Washington died at his home March 5, 2006. He was 71. He was born March 9, 1934 in Watonga, Oklahoma. Clyde married Michiko (Shibata) Bell in Tokyo, Japan on February 27, 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy as Yeoman for 33 years - attaining rank of E-9 Master Chief. He served as Yeoman and retired in 1987. After retiring from the Navy in 1987 he went back to work as a civil servant for the Military Sealift Command in Yokohama, Japan for 10 years. Clyde had a passion for square dancing and for dance calling. He was a member of the Peninsula Callers Association. He taught square dancing to children and adults for the last 40 years in Japan, Korea and the States. He is survived by his wife - Michiko (Shibata) Bell of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; sons - David Bell (Melinda) of Port Orchard, Washington, Rodney Bell (Nancy) of Texas, Dale Bell of Oklahoma; daughter - Lacisa Seacrist (Dan) of Bremerton, Washington; sister - Grace Eaton of Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren. Clyde was preceded in death by: sisters - Dorothy, Flora and Ferba (and by her beloved dog: Cha-Cha). A graveside service and inurnment will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
