Concepcion Torno

Concepcion Arevalo Torno of Port Orchard, Washington died at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Washington due to a stroke. She was 82. She was born April 12, 1923 to Lope and Segunda (Jemina) Arevalo in Bario Otavi, Bulan Sorsogon, Philipines. Concepcion married Felix Torno in the Philipines in 1952. He resides in Bremerton. She attended Bulan Sorsogon High School in the Philipines. Concepcion is survived by sons - Rosalino (Erlinda) Amaasim, Romeo Torno (Leticia), Rodolfo Rodrigo Torno (Olivia), Rodolfo Torno, Felix Torno and Feliciano Torno (Edith) all of the Philipines; daughters - Oblisa Paroan (Benjamin)and Yolanda Ortea both of the Philipines, Edith Murray (John) of Port Orchard, Washington; brother - Simoy Arevalo of the Philipines; sister - Sinay Arevalo of the Philipines; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents - Lope and Segunda (Jemina) Arevalo. She was a housewife; volunteer nurse during WWII in the Philipines; was a member of St. Gabriel Catholich Church and member of the Filipino Catholic Prayer Group. Concepcion loved working in her flower garden, reading, spending time with her family and grandchildren! A funeral mass will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard, Washington on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
