Corazon Rau

Corazon A. Rau, 81, of Port Orchard, WA, died September 22, 2008 in Port Orchard. She was born February 11, 1927 in the Philippines to Cecilio and Noviba (Gonido) Alkayde. She married Jack Rau in the Philippines in 1963. They moved to Rhode Island in 1967 and then to Chehalis, WA where Corazon worked as a housekeeper at a hotel. Jack died November 6, 1989 and Corazon moved to Port Orchard in 1993. She loved to eat chocolate, Snickers bars and watermelon. She is survived by friends and caregivers Paula and Eric Davis, Rexie and Jim Delorm, Lilia Alvarez, Lily Jobe, and Bob and Chris Lehman, and many others who became like family. Viewing will be Friday, September 26, 12 Noon to 5PM and Monday September 29, 10AM to 3PM at Rill’s Life Tribute Center. Services will be Monday, 3PM, at Rill’s Life Tribute Center, 1151 Mitchell Ave, Port Orchard, WA 98366.
