Damaso Fabian "Tatay" Papa of Port Orchard, Washington died February 23, 2004. He was 86. He was born December 12, 1917 in Alabang Muntinlupa City, Philippines to Dionisio and Benita (Fabian) Papa. He worked as a railroad engineer - retiring in 1970. He was a gardener at Washington Veterans Home - retiring in 1985. He was well known for his pig roasting; loved gardening and carpentry. Damaso was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard, Washington. He is survived by daughter - Zenaida Delarosa of Port Orchard, Washington; 7 grandchildren (Consuelo Delarosa of Oakland, California, Corazon Delarosa of Seattle, Washington, Juanito Delarosa & wife, Dolor of Ferndale, Washington, Joselito Delarosa & wife, Barb of Ogden, Utah, Cecilia Delarosa. He was preceded in death by wife - Candida Papa and Daughter Luzviminda Andres. Visitations will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute on Friday, February 27, 2004 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 28, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Rosary will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center on Friday, February 27, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church on Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, Washington.
