Damon R. Bowdoin of Port Orchard, Washington died peacefully of natural causes December 31, 2004 at the Life Care Center of Port Orchard. He was 87. He was born September 11, 1917 in Greenwood, Arkansas to Jerry T. and Mary M. (Ferguson) Bowdoin. He married Genevieve (Maley) Bowdoin June 7, 1940 in Bremerton, Washington. Damon served in the U.S. Navy from 1934 - 1937 and from 1942 - 1945 as a Gunners Mate Third Class (E-4). He was also an owner operator of Bowdoin's Appliance in Bremerton for 15 years - retiring in 1982. Damon enjoyed building doll cribs, gardening, playing bingo, golfing and bowling. He is survived by daughters - Cheryl Fleischbein (& husband, Charles) of Port Orchard, Washington, Denice Vennes (& husband, Gary) of Gig Harbor, Washington; sister - Sibyl Esget of Olympia, Washington; 4 grandchildren (Lynn Fleischbein, Neil Fleischbein, Kari Vennes, Chad Vennes). He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 5 sisters.
