Daniel Safsten

Daniel Jeffrey Safsten, 40 of Port Orchard, Washington died February 15, 2006 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He was born on April 17, 1965 in Seattle, Washington to Carl Gunnar & Barbara Lee (House) Safsten. Daniel attended South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard. Daniel worked for 14 years as a Ferry Captain for Horluck Ferries in Port Orchard. He also worked for Port Orchard Marine Railways as a Marine Technician. His hobby was radio control and he also enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding, and the outdoors. Daniel loved his son and all his family. Surviving are his son Jeffrey Safsten of Port Orchard; his parents Gunnar & Barbara Safsten of Port Orchard; and brothers Timothy (Katherine) and David A. Safsten of Port Orchard. Visitation will be at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 from Noon to 5:00pm, Thursday, February 23, 2006 from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and Friday, February 24, 2006 from 9:00am until the service. Funeral Service will at Rill's Life Tribute Center on Friday, February 24, 2006 at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
