Daniel Wulick Jr.

On October 17, 2016, the love of my life lost his courageous, but short battle with cancer. Daniel Wulick was born November 14, 1938 and even though he was born in Seattle, he was a life-long Tacoma resident.

As a child Dan enjoyed fishing and playing baseball, which continued into high school and his Air Force years, but his greatest love was golf. He had two holes-in-one, an accomplishment that gave him much joy! He played for years at Brookdale Golf Course with his Saturday group. Dan enjoyed horseshoes and was a champion in Vernonia – so many times that he was forced into horseshoe retirement!

One of Dan’s proudest achievements was being a Stadium High School graduate and maintaining contact with the Class of ’56 all his life.

Dan spent four years in the Air Force before returning to Tacoma, where he settled down and had three wonderful children – Andrew, Patricia, and Daniel.

He was an insurance agent for John Hancock, where he met Herb and Joy Brown, best friends for life. Dan eventually went into banking and became Assistant Vice President of Pacific First Bank. It was at Pacific where Dan met the love of his life, Joanne. He was the patriarch for two blended families.

When Dan left Pacific, he made many friends at Coast Majestic Vinyl Windows until finally retiring to the cabin in the woods in Port Orchard.

Dan enjoyed his retirement years traveling to Las Vegas, Iron Springs, Tucson and Colorado. In 2013 Dan Graciously accepted Joanne’s mother, Lydia, to the home he loved in Port Orchard.

Dan loved his family, friends, co-workers, and pets – especially Mattie! He was the proud grandfather of ten wonderful grandchildren. Dan could and would talk to everyone, making him an excellent salesman! His family has been overwhelmed by the love and support shown by his many friends.
