Darlene I. Cronce, 82, of Port Orchard, WA, died Friday, March 12, 2004, at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, WA. She was born January 1, 1922, in Huron, SD, to Arthur and Olga (Anderson) Schuman. She graduated from high school in Huron. On June 16, 1951, she married Harold E. Cronce in Bremerton. Darlene worked in the aircraft industry during WWII, the sheet metal shop at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, and as a dietician at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton. She enjoyed writing, reading the Bible, teaching Sunday school, and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Darlene is survived by three sons, Jack Cronce and his wife Linda, of Port Orchard, Gary Cronce, of Grapeview, WA, and Robin Cronce and his wife Jeanne, of Port Orchard; a daughter Laurie Boyer, of Port Orchard; a sister Maxine Bickel and her husband Wes, of Sumner, WA; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, a daughter Kathleen Joy Cronce, a sister Eunice Waliser, and a brother Gene Schuman. Viewing will be at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center on March 15, 2004, from 12Noon to 2:00PM. A graveside service will follow at Sunset Lane Memorial Park at 3:00PM.
