Darlene Hanson

Darlene J. Hanson, 65, died October 15, 1998 at her home in Port Orchard.  She was born to Oscar & Velma Neeley September 21, 1933 in Aberdeen, Washington.  She grew up and graduated from High School in Olympia, Washington.  She married John W. Hanson August 5, 1966 in Port Orchard.  John predeceased her in 1996.Mrs. Hanson managed the VFW in Port Orchard for 20 years retiring in 1985.  She was active in the Port Orchard Eagles Arie #2308 and the Port Orchard VFW Auxilliary #2669.Survived by sons Donald Wilson of Port Orchard and Kenneth Wilson of Silverdale; daughters Callie Neal of Alabama and Lorelei Hill of Bremerton; a brother Thomas L. Neeley of McQueeney, Texas; sister Sandra J. Ransom of Tacoma; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  Services are 11:00 AM, October 22nd at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.  Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 557 Roy St., Seattle.
