David B. Bush, 48, of Belfair, WA, died February 15, 2002, at his home.David was born October 18, 1953, in Pendleton, OR, to Dean and Marge (Albee) Bush. In 1971, he graduated from Kennewick High School in Kennewick, WA. In 1977, David graduated from Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton and from Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR, in 1981.David served in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1975 as a BM-3. He received a "Letter of Commendation For Meritorious Action" after saving the life of a fellow crew member who fell overboard off the ship.On December 10, 1988, David married Valerie Logue in Marquam, OR.For the past 20 years, David has worked as an engineer at Mare Island in Vallejo, CA, and more recently at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA.David is a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He enjoyed watching the Seattle Mariners and the OSU Beaver football team. He loved working around his home with his family and was known for giving 110% effort at any task he chose to undertake.David is survived by his wife Valerie, of Belfair; son Nathan Bush and daughter Nicole Bush, both of Belfair; parents Dean and Marge Bush, of Hermiston, OR; brothers Larry Bush, of Salem, OR, and Randy Bush, of Hermiston.Viewing will be held on Monday, February 18, from 12 noon to 5PM and Tuesday, February 19, from 9AM to 5PM at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, WA. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2002, at 11AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair. Inurnment will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR.
