David Oliveira Carvalho

David Oliveira Carvalho of Port Orchard, WA passed away at his home on Friday afternoon, Sept. 13, 2013, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
David, 48, was born in Fall River, MA Aug. 3, 1965, to Maciel and Maria Carvalho. He was raised there and in Westport, MA with his siblings, brother Michael and sister Jessica. In 1981 they moved to Vallejo, CA
Before moving to Washington State in 1990, David married Sherri Lynn Frensley and had a son, Jesse Allen Carvalho. Later he married local Karin Hull and in 2007 married Tami Nickens Roy. He was known for his devotion to family, friends and most of all to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
As a child, David is remembered for his adventurous spirit and artistic abilities. As an adult, his talents prospered into a lifelong career in the auto body industry where he excelled and mastered his trade. David specialized in classic cars and hot rods but took great pride in every project. However, his true passion was sharing his Savior Yeshua/Jesus with all he came in contact with. Those who entered Shepherds Auto Body were sure to get a lesson about "The Good Shepherd: and always left with a little more than they had expected. His charitable acts carried throughout his life helping anyone who asked of him.
David leaves behind his loving wife, Tami, Port Orchard, WA, son Jesse of Huntington, TN, mother, Maria of Benicia, CA, brother Michael and sister Jessica of Vallejo, CA and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends from coast to coast.
Memorial services are to be held at Congregation Beth El, 2095 SE Cedar Rd., Port Orchard, WA at Noon on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013. Services will be held in Benicia, CA at a later date..
