David C. Cremeans, age 79, died May 3, 1999 in Port Orchard, WA. He was born June 23, 1919 in Cheshire, Ohio to David and Florence Cremeans. He was raised in Ohio. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II from 1941-1947. His most recent job was as an Aviation Metalsmith at Alameda Naval Air Station in California. He worked there for 20 years before retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2669 and the Port Orchard Eagles. He married Patricia E. Reed on August 12, 1944 in Everett, Washington. He is survived by his sons David C. Cremeans III, of Port Orchard, WA., Eugene H. Cremeans, of Indiana, brothers Denzel Cremeans of Ohio, Norvan 'Slick' Cremeans of California, grandchildren Michael, Christina, Ken, Jimmy, Ricky, Roy, Tricia, Spring and David, and 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia and daughter Katherine Ray. Visitation will be at Rill Chapel Thursday from 9-7p.m., and Friday 5/7/99 from 9-3p.m. A memorial service will be held at Rill Chapel Saturday 5/8/99 at 2:30 p.m. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard, WA.
